It’s cold, isn’t it? And this just means my oven is going to be working twice as hard! I absolutely love the smell of baked.. ummm… anything to tell you the truth. Admittedly though, apple pie ranks pretty high. But what if you could get a healthy apple snack with all the aromas of an apple pie and minus the calories? Try this recipe.. game changer!!!
- 2 apples, cored (optional) and sliced thin
- 1 tsp cinnamon powder
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- Preheat the oven to 225°F.
- Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Spread the sliced apple evenly without them touching each other.
- Mix together the cinnamon and nutmeg in a bowl.
- Sprinkle cinnamon- nutmeg mix evenly over the apple slices.
- Bake for at least one hour and then turn and bake for an additional hour.
- Serve same day or store in an air tight container.
