It’s cold, isn’t it? And this just means my oven is going to be working twice as hard! I absolutely love the smell of baked.. ummm… anything to tell you the truth. Admittedly though, apple pie ranks pretty high. But what if you could get a healthy apple snack with all the aromas of an apple pie and minus the calories? Try this recipe.. game changer!!!

  • 2 apples, cored (optional) and sliced thin
  • 1 tsp cinnamon powder
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  1. Preheat the oven to 225°F.
  2. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  3. Spread the sliced apple evenly without them touching each other.
  4. Mix together the cinnamon and nutmeg in a bowl.
  5. Sprinkle cinnamon- nutmeg mix evenly over the apple slices.
  6. Bake for at least one hour and then turn and bake for an additional hour.
  7. Serve same day or store in an air tight container.
